• judiciously develop effective government communication strategies and plans that will represent your best interests, while presenting key messages clearly, concisely, and correctly
• participate in, and champion, horizontal communication activities among multi-level committees
• develop and maintain effective, close working relationships with government departments, provincial counterparts, business groups, associations and media contacts
• build relationships and increase ministerial awareness of regional activities and departmental advances, via effective communications management with Ottawa and other regional offices, and by providing ongoing reports to the minister's office on key regional issues
